The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is a wonderful customer. They have buildings that run from high rise office type buildings right through to historic buildings (old High Court of Wellington and now part of the Supreme Court complex) through to Iconic Buildings (Supreme Court in Wellington) and everything in between.
Their need for floorings that are fit for purpose (public areas of district courts in major cities for instance get an absolute hammering) and yet also provide the judiciary with quality flooring that works with the historic significance of the building ensure that we at INZIDE Commercial are always being tasked with interesting flooring solution.
The Special Jurisdictions Court in Chorus House in a high rise Auckland office building is a case in point.
Special Jurisdictions includes environmental issues, employment issues, coroner’s issues etc.
The flooring needed to be inviting, commercial heavy duty graded and be in the more upmarket scale while ensuring great value for taxpayers money.
Syncopation was the chosen Interface carpet tile. It comes with a 15 year wear warranty, has a high pile with a sophisticated colour palette and just looks very smart on the floor. Add in the colour co-ordination (shown in pictures) and the result was stunning. The office was done in one colour (capture the facility management benefits) with the corridor and meeting rooms adopting the linear colour nature.
What a great looking floorplate. Another excellent result for the MOJ where they continue to get the balance right on being open and inviting yet ensuring the power of the law is upheld.
