InterfaceNZ had outgrown its current location and needed new premises that were in fit with its SUSTAINABLE DESIGN LEADERSHIP brand positioning. The location was found and utilizing the Office Fitout tool from the Australian Green Building Council (NZ’s fitout tool hadn’t been developed yet) sought to create a modern, sustainable and fitting environment to both create a place where employees would enjoy coming to work and concurrently showcase our products in their best possible light.

The office was divided into two halves, the working office side, utilizing a flexible work environment structure and a design side where customers can be entertained and see the latest we have to offer.

Charcoal flooring utlising random design, recycled content and low wastage was the key requirement.  The rug insert can be changed around at will depending on the current flavor of the month.

Net result – a stunning facility worthy of the title Sustainable Design Leadership.
