The New Zealand Green Building Council is an inclusive broad-based industry organization that has been formed to lead New Zealand’s commitment to green buildings. It is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) made up of industry leaders who are committed to developing market based solutions that help deliver efficient, healthier, innovative buildings for New Zealand.
The NZGBC is committed to setting standards of best practice and leadership through the development of environmental rating tools. Their current suite of tools has been tailored to address the specific needs of the commercial sector.
These tools take a holistic approach to evaluating the environmental attributes of buildings and allows the industry to verify their efforts to reduce the environmental impact of their buildings at the design and built stages.
These tools are:
INTERFACE carpet tile, Inter-Tac adhesive and Tac-Tiles fully meet the standards set by the NZGBC to have these products rated within these tools. Interface carpet tile provides 100% of all material flooring points and 100% of all IAQ flooring points available. Interface's GreenTag Gold Plus rating and VOC test results provide the certification needed by the NZGBC assessor. In addition, Inter-Tac and Tac-tiles provide 100% of all IAQ points due to their extremely low VOC ratings.

Tac-tiles are patented technology that removes the need for adhesive. Hence no VOC's at all and absolutely no odour or perception of odour. PLUS very importantly as they stick to the carpet tile, not the substrate that can be used without compromising the substrate in any way ensuring make goods are so so easy.
