Contractor: Hills Commercial – Wellington
Product: Aerial, Reclaim and Vertical carpet tiles
We have chosen this school to do a case study to highlight the versatility and strength of the “yarn bank” philosophy that Interface operates.
Very simply, we just have two yarn providers – Aquafil (strength is recycled content in yarns – developed the concept of recycling fishing nets with Interface back in 2012) AND Universal (key partner for taking back old carpet tile yarn and turning it into new yarn). By having different collections that incorporate the same coloured yarns, we provide ultimate design flexibility to the NZ design community to adopt our standard product ranges, custom the colours in those ranges OR as in this case, mix and match various collections that share the same yarns to create a design palette unique for the space. Incredibly done.
And why did Mckenzie Higham Architects choose INZIDE (the little NZ company bringing the best of the world to NZ) to work with on this project? Our flooring solutions are always fit for purpose, are always design leading, always have the environment in mind (every one of our Interface carpet tiles in that facility is made of high recycled content AND is also recyclable from NZ) and ensures that the space is enriched.
Interface's Aerial, Reclaim and Vertical carpet tiles offer:
20 year full performance education warranty
World leading dye-batch mergeable (less than 1% wastage on installation) patterns
Colour, texture and biophilic design
Life-time anti-microbial built into the latex layer in the carpet tile.
Yes a world leading flooring solution for a world leading education facility. Simply brilliant.
