The Ministry of Education's Christchurch Rebuild Programme embarked on a significant project centred around the planning and design of Hillmorton High School. With a spotlight on accommodating the school's diverse student body while enhancing its standing within the local community. The overarching goal was to expand the student population while preserving the school's ethos of inclusivity and a nurturing environment.

The new floor plate seamlessly integrated a combination of existing structures with the installation of a brand-new general learning space. This innovative learning environment was meticulously crafted to be dynamic and stimulating, catering to the diverse needs of all students, including those with hearing and visual impairments. To ensure accessibility, this space was equipped with visual warning systems.

Central to this flooring transformation was Interface's Human Connections Collection. This collection embodies the artful fusion of sensory elements that modern educational spaces increasingly demand, emphasising the idea that truly welcoming environments offer diversity and choice. Specifically, the Moss variant from this collection was thoughtfully applied across a significant portion of the space. Its captivating blend of moss-inspired hues adorned the floors, seamlessly transitioning into the classroom zones where Interface's Aerial Flying Colours Collection, featuring warm grey tones, took centre stage. This deliberate choice established a balanced and neutral colour palette in the classroom areas, effectively complementing the vibrant array of colours prevalent in other parts of the school.

The selection of Interface's Aerial Flying Colours Collection was driven not only by its aesthetic appeal but also by its practicality. This collection boasts robust grey base tiles adorned with a forgiving pattern, making it a suitable choice for areas subjected to heavy foot traffic. This decision was particularly crucial for a school environment where spills, dirt, and messes are commonplace occurrences, ensuring both durability and aesthetics in the flooring solution.

Interface Carpet Tile Collections offer:
