Naumi Hotel Wellington

In this case we were brought in to achieve functional aspects of the project – bathroom flooring and bar flooring.

The bathrooms needed to avoid unnecessary invasive work on the building which holds a history of intrigue, worth preserving. The new Sphera collection of homogenous vinyl from leading global flooring manufacturer Forbo was selected. The collections vast array of colour options stood out and 4 hit the mark for the vision the Material Creative team had. Complimenting the beautifully appointed rooms; Carmine, Tangerine, Navy and Purple Heart in the Element pattern  were selected, enhancing the overall colour theme for each of the three floors perfectly.

Carbon neutral, Luxury Vinyl Tile by Interface was also selected for the main bar area on the ground floor. Installed in a herringbone pattern the Natural Woodgrain LVT in Black Walnut adds to the rich colour palette of the space. As a signature Material Creative move the strong, grainy look and feel of the LVT is interrupted halfway through the space by a zig-zagging orange and cream tile pathway which continues through to a contrasting light-filled space of striking green archways and inviting seating.

It was an absolute joy to have been involved in this jewel of a hotel in the centre of our capital city, what a delight it is to have such an exceptional place to stay when visiting.
