Installation: Tauranga Intermediate

Specifier: Beejays Limited

Architect: DLA Architects LTD

Product: Forbo's Flotex

When it comes to flooring solutions that strike the perfect balance between durability, comfort, and style, Flotex stands out as a unique textile carpet flooring option. Tauranga Intermediate School’s recent renovation project, led by Kristen from DLA Architects, saw the installation of Flotex transform the school’s hall into a remarkable feature piece. With its impervious backing, exceptional slip rating, and impact sound reduction, Flotex proved to be the ideal choice for this high-traffic area.

With the existing floor being Flotex, the decision to continue with this remarkable flooring option was a testament to its outstanding performance and longevity. A total of 456lm of Flotex was installed, ensuring a consistent and visually appealing appearance.

Tauranga Intermediate School, in consultation with DLA Architects, decided to incorporate the school’s logo into the Flotex Flooring, reflecting their pride in their institution. The logo, featuring the school’s colours of red and blue, adds a touch of identity and serves as a testament to the school’s commitment to excellence. Also featuring the school’s motto, “Explore & Achieve”, embodies their commitment to nurturing their students’ growth and encouraging them to reach their full potential.

In a bustling school environment, minimising noise is crucial. Flotex’s 21 dB impact sound reduction helps create a serene and conducive atmosphere within the hall. Students and staff can now enjoy enhanced acoustic comfort, allowing for better concentration and effective communication.

Congratulations to DLA Architects Ltd and Tauranga Intermediate School on the successful completion of this learning environment. By choosing Flotex, the school has not only obtained a durable and visually stunning flooring solution but also created an environment that fosters learning, collaboration, and achievement.
