Sylvia Park's Horizon Radiology stands as a beacon of welcoming warmth and positivity within the realm of healthcare facilities. In crafting this space, STACK Interiors considered aesthetics and cost, opting for flooring offerings from Interface and Forbo.

The carefully curated selection included Interface's Net Effect Collection and Forbo's Eternal Wood and Eternal Concrete Collections. This choice not only addressed the functional aspects but also contributed to the overarching ambience of the facility. The challenge was unique – a singular building accommodating two distinct departments within the same healthcare group. The directive was clear: establish a visual synergy that seamlessly unites the two spaces.

For the radiology department, the front desk and waiting area were adorned with Forbo's Eternal Wood, creating a natural, authentic wooden aesthetic with the resilience of high-quality vinyl. It has the best protection against scuff and scratching, a hygienic flooring solution and the lowest possible residual indentation. The designer for this chose the concrete look for the medical centre fit-out but used the timber floor vinyl for the Radiology side to create a calming residential feel.

Given the medical nature of the facility, technical specifications were paramount – welded joints, the ability to seamlessly cove onto walls, and chemical resistance were non-negotiable requirements.

Overall, an incredible result. Congrats to STACK Interiors and thank you for specifying Interface and Forbo Flooring.
