It was superb to see huge business engagement around product stewardship – businesses recognising the need and now wanting to know how best to implement it based on the learnings' of the 4 business that spoke of their product stewardship journeys at the events.

It was encouraging to see a lot of activity happening within businesses to manage environmental impacts of products in the mid-long term. The design phase of products is increasingly being recognised as the key to optimising product stewardship scheme, utilising circular economy models to prevent product stewardship just being an end of life solution to a linear product.

Involving all organisations across the supply chain is a fundamental aspect of product stewardship and businesses don’t have to do it alone.
